The alienation zone is full of dangers, but one of the most insidious traps remains the anomalies.
If you find yourself trapped in them, panic is the last thing you need. Because the anomalies are very dangerous and very quickly deplete the Skiff’s health scale. But fortunately, you can get out of them.…
Today we will understand how to get out of the anomalies and survive to continue your journey through the Zone.
The basic rule of survival when caught in an anomaly
Always check the terrain in front of you with bolts. This is your main tool of exploration in the Zone. Despite their simplicity, they will immediately show you where there are places with anomalies so you know how to get around them.
Hold Tab to open the radial menu, select a bolt, and then hold down the left mouse button to aim and throw. At the location of the thrown bolt, you will see how the anomaly manifests itself and will understand in which direction to go to avoid falling into this insidious trap.
Now let’s move on to specific anomalies and rescue methods.
Airburst
This animation is not dangerous, it is just an impulse that can throw you up. You can tell by the accumulated debris around you. On the contrary, sometimes it can help you get into difficult places by throwing you up.
Vortex
This tornado is capable of sucking you into the center and destroying you in the blink of an eye.
To break out of it:
- Immediately start running in the opposite direction of the center of attraction.
- If you have time, throw a bolt to temporarily disable the anomaly. This is one of the most effective methods in this situation.
Listen to the sounds of the wind – they signal the activation of the “Vortex”. Also pay attention to the swirling leaves around – they will be a landmark of the presence of this anomaly in the vicinity. Because getting into such a zone is fraught with loss of health, and if you do not get out in time – death.
Burner
A fiery anomaly often hides among the destruction. It burns everything around it, so getting into it, there is a huge risk of simply burning. Again, use the bolt to reveal it.
But if suddenly you’re already in her confinement, here are some tips:
- Use gear with thermal protection to minimize damage.
- Never get too close to the fire epicenter.
- If you happen to get too close, retreat immediately.
A good protective suit will keep you safe from this abnormal zone. But remember that it does not save from all anomalies. Therefore, you need to be incredibly vigilant.
Acid Puddles (Fruit Punch)
Green radiation puddles are as dangerous as they look.
- Never step directly into them.
- Move along narrow safe paths if there are any.
- Carry anti-radiation medications and first aid kits – they will help you last longer.
The toxicity of this anomaly increases every second, so act quickly.
Bulba
A gravitational anomaly that leaves no room for error, it sucks everything around it. If you notice its characteristic distortions:
- Leave immediately in the opposite direction.
- Do not try to “check” its action – it kills instantly.
This anomaly requires maximum attention and quick reaction. Otherwise, you will find yourself in the zone of action and quickly lose all your health.
Glass Shards
These are flying glass fragments that can hit you suddenly. Scanners often don’t detect them, so it’s important to be careful and focus on visual signs – moving shards. But they are actually quite difficult to spot. So to keep yourself safe stick to the tips:
- Use bolts to check the path ahead.
- Move slowly and avoid open areas where shiny particles are visible.
Bubbles
The anomaly looks like a large bubble that explodes when activated, creating many small toxic bubbles.
To pass safely, throw a bolt, activating the anomaly, and then go around or quickly run past it.
Remember to carry antidotes in case the bubbles do manage to poison you.
Poppy Field
In this field, the red petals have a soporific effect. The longer you stay here, the more you slow down and lose consciousness.
- Stay away from clusters of petals.
- Use energy drinks to keep you alert.
Cross the field quickly without lingering longer than necessary.
Electric field
Electric currents sparking blue light do significant damage on contact.
Use the bolts to determine the boundaries of the anomaly.
Find safe gaps between discharges and move only when there is a lull.
Equip yourself with armor with increased resistance to electricity.
Electrosphere
This is a moving anomaly that emits discharges of electricity along a set trajectory, often found in buildings.
Watch the trajectory of the sphere.
Wait for the moment when it becomes distant and quickly pass by it.
If necessary, activate it with a bolt to temporarily weaken the impact.
Springboard
This anomaly can backfire with a powerful pulse.
As soon as you spot it or get within range of it:
- Throw a bolt into the center of the anomaly – this will temporarily deactivate it.
- After that, quickly move towards the exit of the area of action, before the effect resumes.
The danger of this anomaly is that it deals damage from a powerful blow.
To avoid getting into the anomalous zone always throw a bolt in front of you if you notice any strange things around you. It is also highly desirable to wear good protection and always carry a first aid kit to restore health while you get out. Good luck, stalker!
